I personally don’t like the taste of milk so that’s why I like to drink almond milk as my main source of calcium. There are so many fortified almond milk choices on the market but I really do think that the Almond Milk by Califia Farms taste the best.

Every glass of milk and/or milk alternative typically contains 300 mg of calcium. Based on the recommendations, this means the average person either needs to drink 3 to 4 glasses of milk/day to meet the requirement. Many individuals (including myself) don’t have the habit to drink that much milk and/or milk alternatives.
This is another reason why I like almond milk from Califia Farms because every glass of this almond milk will give me 450 mg of calcium. Please keep in mind that your body can only absorb a maximum of 500 mg of calcium at each time.
Many individuals have the perception that by putting some milk in their coffee and/or tea, they are helping their calcium intake. Because of oxalate in coffee and/or tea, calcium will bind to oxalate and not be absorbed by our bodies.
